Challenge #1
Redesigning employee dashboard
Employees juggle multiple tasks, leading to cognitive overload when faced with a cluttered dashboard. The goal was to create a layout that helps them easily find tasks, track progress, and understand performance without feeling overwhelmed.
Decision 1
To reduce information overload
I focused on separating employee tasks and team related ones
I prioritized essential information upfront, moving less critical data into tabs or secondary views.

Merging two cards in the dashboard | Design for priority & hierarchy
Less critical information from the employee details card is moved to the user information in settings.

Impact
This approach improved task visibility, allowing employees to easily scan and process data, ultimately making their experience more efficient and user-friendly.
Challenge #2
Redesigning reviewers dashboard
While exploring the reviewer dashboard, I noticed a cluttered interface where personal and team tasks were mixed, making it hard for reviewers to stay organized. Important information was buried under icons, adding to the confusion.
The challenge was to create a consistent dashboard for all roles while providing reviewers with a dedicated space to easily manage team tasks, improving clarity and efficiency.
Decision 1: Layout
Exploring scalable dashboard structures tailored to multiple user roles while maintaining a consistent visual hierarchy.



Decision 2: Enhancing team task visibility
A calendar with team overview was introduced to show important details such as team availability, pending reviews, and delegated work.
Enables reviewers to see which task requires immediate action, including escalated tasks, ensuring timely intervention
By surfacing key insights, reviewers can assign tasks more efficiently and fairly among team members

Impact
This approach balanced personalization with uniformity, boosting usability while simplifying development and onboarding.
Challenge #3
Data Visualization : Cluttered
While exploring the dashboard, I quickly realized that the overuse of tiny graphs and donut charts was making it hard for employees to quickly grasp important data. The cluttered visuals slowed them down.
so I focused on simplifying the design by applying principles of clarity and consistency. By reducing the number of cards and prioritizing key information, I streamlined the dashboard to make it easier for employees to scan and jump right into their work.

Cognitive load is more understanding these pi-charts.
Decision 2: Overall task summary
Two donut charts on one card are creating visual noise. Instead created two tabs to switch between personal tasks and team tasks.
